ISAT Testing - 3rd and 4th Grade classes have ISAT testing till May 10th.  Each class goes one day a week.  These tests are critical to our school, the teacher, and the district.  If at all possible please be sure that your child does not miss school on the day their class tests.  It is also very beneficial if they have a good nights rest and a healthy breakfast in the morning.

Class Lists - Class list are posted.  Go to the Class List link above.  Kindergarten classes are now posted.  Kindergarten AM and PM are subject to change in order to keep the class numbers balanced.

Fun Websites for Kids Who Want More

We have been struggling with the best way to address the needs of children who require "above and beyond" the regular classroom curriculum. We have been working closely with district personnel who have expertise in this area. We have decided to create a section  called "Above & Beyond Curriculum." We will include websites and other ideas that we hope will challenge students and promote higher-level thinking.

To start with, here are some that we have previewed and recommend:

 Reading:

http://www.eduplace.com/parents/hmr06/ Houghton Mifflin Reading additional resources that go with the themes

http://www.kidport.com  Grade level reading skills

http://www.rif.org  Reading lists, parental tips, and age leveled activities.

http://www.familyeducation.com/home/ Grade by grade guide, skill builders, and articles about the latest research in reading.

http://www.starfall.com  Stories to read and child creates stories through pictures and prompts.

Math:

http://www.kidport.com  All grades, number recognition, money, time, addition, subtraction.

http://resources.oswego.org/games/  Games on time, math facts, money, etc.

http://www.oswego.org/ocsd-web/games/mathmagician/cathymath.html  Math facts practice

http://www.dositey.com/2008/addsub/as85/add3r.htm  2-digit problems with regrouping.

http://saxonpublishers.hmhco.com/en/saxonpublishers.htm  Click on "online activities" for shapes, patterns, money, graphing

We will regularly update this site, so watch for more.  Also, if you have a site to suggest, let us know so that we can share it.  Special thanks to Shari Gummow for researching these great sites.
